American Forests (AF), founded in 1875, is the oldest national conservation non-profit in the US. Today, they are building a national reforestation movement to combat the rapid widespread degradation and destruction of forests across the US. AF develops scientific research and tools, supports forestry job training programs, advocates for and supports policies and programs that support science-based on-the-ground forestry initiatives, provides job opportunities in forestry for underserved communities, and plants trees carefully selected for their environment in rural and urban landscapes to combat climate change and promote social equality.
